International Nurses Day (12 May)

International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world, on the 12th of May, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth.

2020 has been designated as the "Year of the Nurse and the Midwife" by the World Health Organisation (WHO) in recognition of the contribution nurses make, and the risks associated with nursing shortages.

Nurses and midwives play a vital role in providing health services. These are the people who devote their lives to caring for mothers and children; giving lifesaving immunizations and health advice; looking after older people and generally meeting everyday essential health needs. They are often, the first and only point of care in their communities.

Heritage Health would like to say a big thank you to all the nurses across the world on International Nurses Day. Your hard work and dedication makes a difference to so many people's lives each day.  We salute the Nurses who are the charming souls making a difference in every single day.

Thank You for being so caring to heal the mind, body, heart, and soul of your patients. You're the important ingredient for the whole of mankind to have a healthy and long-lasting life. The care and compassion received from our nurses are just as important as the medicines prescribed by the doctors.

Happy Nurses Day to all the dedicated nurses in this world!
